Bang Bang!
Well we have new information to put on our Blog and it is very exciting. On Friday, November 14,2008 I went to Cheaper Than Dirt and bought a new 9mm XD(M)9, made by Springfield Armory. I had been shopping for a new pistol and a 416 Assault Rifle, Heckler & Kotch. They didn't have my rifle but they received my pistol while I was there. The sales person I was working with had told me that they didn't have any XD(M)'s yet. But as I walked around the store, getting other things I needed, I saw a guy standing at the at the counter with two XDM's. I walked up to him and asked if those were XDM's to which he replied, "Yep, they just came in. They haven't even checked them in to the stores inventory yet." I then asked his salesperson if there were any more and he said, "There are 3 more." I went and found my guy, Chance and told him the guns were in. While he was going through the checking the gun in, a guy walked up to the counter where I was and started talking to me about what I was buying. I told him what and why I was buying this particular gun. We discussed how long I had looked and what I had looked at and why this gun was the best of all I'd seen. He said,"I think I'll get me one too". So I yelled at Chance and told him to get another one. He did and the guy bought the same gun I did.
After I left the store I went to the Shooting Range to try it out. My first 3 shots were Bulls Eyes, dead center. It's the smoothest shooting gun I've ever shot. A little loud but handles great and shoots great. The XD(M)9 comes with two magazines. Each of them hold 19 bullets. So when you get everything ready to go you have one bullet in the chamber and 19 in the mag. which gives you 20 shots before you reload. It also allows a person to change out the Backstrap on the handle to a choice of three other Backstraps and you can choose the one that fits your hand best. It also has a way of telling you if you have a bullet in the chamber, and another thing that tells you if you have bullets in the Mag.. It's just full of goodies like this. Can't wait to let my family shoot it.

PAPA J's
Hi Family! I think this "Blog"thing is such a good idea. It seems to me that as we've gotten older several things have changed in our lives. Our individual families have grown to the point that we don't have as much free time as we use to have to get together. Some of us have experienced a few physical changes that have caused us not to be as mobile and energetic as we use to be, or as often as we use to be. That's not to say we're getting old. We're just not as good as we once were. The computer makes it possible for us to continue the CLOSE, WONDERFUL RELATIONSHIPS we've always had on an ongoing basis. We can keep seeing each other, talking to each other, and knowing what's going on in each other's families. Things like knowing what we look like and how much the kids have grown etc. Many of our kids have Blogs, and it is so great in helping us stay up-to-date with them, and I think it will do the same with our extended family. I'm always saying, " I sure would like to see how --------- ---------- is and how big they are now" (_____ ______ is a niece or nephew, cousin, etc.) It wouldn't take a lot of time, and it would mean a lot to so many. So let's all sign up and get busy learning how to use it and getting started. I've been waiting to see all the pictures taken, all over the world, by my family on the trips they've taken and I'll keep waiting, if it takes till we get together. Now, you can put them on here and I can see them immediately. I also have lots of things to share about grands' and family things that ya'll will be interested in. It may take me a while to learn all the in's and out's of Blogging but I'm convinced I can do it and that it will be worth the effort. I expect all of you guy's to do the same.

Welcome!
Welcome to the Jester Family Home Page. This is a way that we can post family news, important upcoming events, marriages, births, graduations, advancements, and pictures. Everyone will have access to the page, so everyone will be able to contribute. This way everyone can keep up to date with what is going on. I know that with all of the grandchildren and great-grandchildren running around, everyone is very busy. We don't seem to get together like we used too. This way maybe we can get back to that.
